Welcome to the site of the Conference for Travel Literature, “Humboldt and Ibn Battuta.”

The international interdisciplinary Alexander von Humboldt Conference was created in homage to the great German explorer by the university that bears his name:  Humboldt State University, in Arcata, California, in 2001.
